Age: 17
Canon: Loveless
Canon Point:History: Loveless on the wikiPersonality: Seimei's personality is contradictory and something entirely unclear - he behaves differently for nearly every person he speaks to, and he is seen in a different light by almost everyone. When Ritsuka lost his memories, Seimei took the responsibility of protecting him from their mother. To their mother, Misaki, Seimei is a strong man, who would keep her from harming Ritsuka. To Ritsuka, Seimei was warm, gentle, loving, and protective. But in sharp contrast, to those outside of his family, he held a completely different personality - varying even further. Nagisa and Seven both say that Seimei was cruel, malicious, and sadistic, hence the reason Seimei was to be executed by Septimal Moon. Soubi, his first Fighter, describes him as god-like; to Soubi, Seimei was a strict, cruel master, but still had the eerie majesty that made Soubi love him, even though the love was not reciprocated.
The true face of Seimei, however, seems to be hidden beneath all of those facades. His relationships with others become increasingly more clear. He is clearly psychotic, has obvious violent tendencies, and the derangement he has clearly alters the way he perceives the world. To him, the only human beings on the earth are himself, and Ritsuka - everyone else might as well be wild animals. This is apparent in his way of speaking to Nisei or Soubi, as he orders them around in the same way that someone commands a dog. There's no point in being nice to an animal, especially if they are prone to turn around and bite unpredictably. The mild paranoia that Seimei tends to exhibit manifests occasionally, and he expresses a number of times that he would rather strike and kill an opponent before getting attacked, himself. He appreciates those around him, he says - he loves "pretty birds" and "cute dogs", but his concept of what love really is, is something altogether more deranged. Seimei had killed, and when he admitted this to Ritsuka, he asked for forgiveness: if Ritsuka were to forgive him entirely for his sins and accept him wholeheartedly for who he was, that was love. Seimei clings to Ritsuka emotionally, perhaps feeling a sense of loneliness or territoriality - after all, Ritsuka is the only other one. The thought of Ritsuka hating him hurt Seimei so greatly that Seimei falsified his death to test how resilient Ritsuka would be without him, and attempted to receive absolute forgiveness from Ritsuka.
Seimei does not seem to accept anyone else's truths over his own. He consistently believes that he is right, and that his words are the truth - anything that does not follow the rules that he puts forth is false.
Abilities/Strengths: Within his own world, he is what is known as a Sacrifice. And as a Sacrifice, Seimei has the ability to control people who share the name "Beloved" and have a bond forged with him. This applies both to the Fighter that he was supposedly born with AND to "blank" Fighters, or Fighters who do not have a Sacrifice, given that he marks them with his name and claim them by creating a bond between their souls that only he can destroy. His natural Fighter is Nisei, but he is also able to control Soubi with a whim, despite having severed the thread binding their souls together. Rare for a Sacrifice, however, Seimei is also capable of casting wordspell to a degree, able to turn an idle conversation into a vicious assault. His words, when spoken as a spell, make the listeners feel sick, heavy, and a fearful, foreboding feeling. He is also persuasive and it seems to be possible for him to mildly control people that are not bonded to him with the power of suggestion, but it's unclear if it's part of his wordspell abilities or a talent. There is currently a theory that Seimei has found a way to be both a Sacrifice
and a Fighter, but there is currently no evidence beyond Seimei's ability to use Word Spell that supports this theory.
Weaknesses: Seimei is not very mentally stable. Not to say that he's completely mad, as he has a basic comprehension of people and society, but his perceptions are so twisted and he's so manipulative that it can become a severe weakness. He is also fiercely possessive of his little brother, Ritsuka, and very territorial of anything that belongs to him.
ARCANARUMStory: The Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was AKA "The Youth that Could Not Shudder"
Story Character: The boy who could not shudder
Plans: Exploring the idea of Seimei becoming fearless; part of his personality
is the paranoid amounts of fear he carries for even casual things.
SAMPLESFirst Person: Formerly played at Soul Campaign! Hopefully that's acceptable as a sample.
Third Person: Clack, clack, clack, clack.Seimei listened to the sounds his shoes made against the street. The night was young, after all. There was the chance be was being followed. There was always a chance of that, unfortunately, no matter where Seimei went. Being Beloved meant that he had as many jealous pursuers as he had admirers. Having a better understanding of the truth, more than anyone else, made many more bitter and resentful. Knowing how to undermine the strength of great power constructs like Septimal Moon made him a grand target, enough for
assassination. He always had eyes on him.
But aside from his own sounds, there was nothing but silence. The kingdom ignored him, so far. It held no interest of him, and no knowledge of him. He was safe, for now, though it was a double-edged sword. If he no longer wanted to be used, he would
have to be noticed. He would have to be targeted, just as he had been with Septimal Moon. But for now, there was nothing but the empty clack of his boots on the stone streets.
A smile formed on Seimei's face. Exactly as he preferred it; alone, without the barking of dogs or tickling fluttering of a butterfly's wings. Without the howling insanity of a cat, or the persistent judging gaze from filthy wolves. Without the clacking of marionettes, of the ugly, too-perfect empty shells. It was much better alone, without other "people" to pursue him regardless of their intents, which he assumed were usually poor anyway.
There was only one other that belonged with him. Only one other that held value, that was truly human. The only other person he truly longed to see, the one person whose companionship he would kill without a thought to receive. But he could not kill to receive it... doing so might result in the loss of it. No, he had to earn it. But before he dared, he had to first prove it was there. To first test it, to be sure what he yearned for was not a fleeting fantasy, that he was never manipulated by others, that despite others attempts, he would love him forever. Seimei's very existence depended on it. His body, his heart, his soul... they needed it. That boy was born for Seimei. Lived to love Seimei truly, not that mockery of emotions that the puppets felt, not that pitiful "hope" that dogs felt. That love would complete him. That love... Ritsuka's love.
Loveless' love.
